Upcoming Events

  • In a proactive effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19, and in keeping with the guidance and directives given by our state and local leaders, we will be suspending all in-person gatherings hosted by Antioch Beverly (including small groups) through at least April 5, with no exceptions, at which point we’ll re-evaluate.
  • We’re pursuing creative ways to disciple our church during this time, as well as to provide pastoral care. We’re looking into a discipleship strategy that will allow existing smaller groups to continue to meet using online platforms (more info coming soon), as well as to provide multiple mediums for discipleship for those not yet part of a small group. You can expect to hear updates from individual ministry leaders as well, and you can direct questions to them. We are actively coordinating with staff, elders, and our Greater Boston Antioch leaders on how to provide pastoral care.

Greater Boston Church-wide Fast & Assembly:

When: Monday, March 30th-Wednesday, April 1st (We will gather for a sacred assembly via Zoom on Wednesday evening, 8:00pm - 9:00pm.)

How: Zoom meeting link will be provided soon.

In these times of turmoil, fear, and soul searching, the Lord calls us to turn to Him for answers. He alone is God and extends grace and mercy to all who approach Him. We see throughout scripture that in times of trouble, He also challenges His people to come together and humble themselves through fasting and prayer. In the book of Joel, the prophet describes it as a holy fast and a sacred assembly. (Joel 1:14; 2:15). What does this actually mean for us?

Holy & Sacred- set apart to seek God and Him alone

A Fast- to deny our “flesh” (often food) in order to feast on the spiritual food of fellowship with God

An Assembly- to gather the community of God to pursue Him in a unified voice and heart because the present circumstances affect us all

As Antioch Greater Boston we feel compelled by God to respond to this pandemic by calling a holy fast and sacred assembly. We invite all those part of our family and community to join in a corporate fast next Monday, March 30 through Wednesday, April 1. We will gather for a sacred assembly via Zoom on Wednesday evening, 8 PM - 9 PM (stay tuned for more details in the days to come).
